How to Integrate SpruceHealth for HIPAA Compliant SMS and Calling

This guide will help you connect your SpruceHealth account to EMRG, enabling HIPAA-compliant SMS and calling directly from your EMRG platform.

Understand the Integration

If you choose to integrate your SpruceHealth account, patients that book through the widget will automatically have Spruce accounts created for them in EMRG, so your providers can call them with a single click.

The "Call Patient" button opens up that patient's Spruce profile.

Step 1: Request API Credentials from Spruce

To get your SpruceHealth API credentials and integrate to EMRG, simply message Team Spruce by typing "Team Spruce" in the search bar in Spruce and message them, and they will happily turn on your API Integration for you.

Say "Hello! Can we please have our API Integration activated for token access so we can integrate with our EMR?" and they should activate your API Integration within 24 hours.

Step 2: Navigate to API Integration in Spruce

Click "Settings" in Spruce.

Select "Integrations & API"

Select "Create Token" and name it "EMRG" or whatever you would like.

Click "Reveal Live Secret" under "API Token" and click the copy icon for that and the Access ID. Paste both into an email to contact@joinemrg.com and your success manager will set up the integration for you within 24 hours.

Step 3: Email your API Token and Access ID to EMRG
