How to Add Custom Products to Your Product List

This guide will walk you through the process of adding custom products to your product list in the EMRG system, including both standard products and medication products.

💡 Pro Tip: You can work with your EMRG Success Specialist and they can add your products for you. All you need to do is format your existing product list into an Excel sheet and provide the following values for each product (Name, Drug Concept, Quantity, Sig (Directions), Dispense, Dispense Units, Pharmacy Note, Price, Custom Code). Look at some of the examples below for guidance.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Navigate to Products

Click "Products" in the side navigation bar to access the product management interface.

3. Standard Products

EMRG gives you the flexibility to add non-medication based products, such as laser treatments or shelf-stocked items.

You can down select the "Type" and select "Standard" to create these items with their fields of:

  • Name
  • Price
  • Code (useful if sending the order to an external system with a coded inventory, like Surescripts or a custom pharmacy)
  • Custom Code (in-house categorizing code, whatever you would like it to be)
  • Category
  • Type (Standard, or Medication)

Click "Create Product" and it will be added to your Product List, where it can later be easily edited at anytime.
